Delhi Kannada Sr. Sec. School was established in the year 1961 by the Delhi Kannada Education Society for providing general education to the children from Karnataka.

Management

S.V. Krishnamurthy was born on 15 Nov, 1902. He was an Indian Politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. He was a member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament, the Rajya Sabha from 1952 to 1962. He was also the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He was elected to the Lower House of Parliament, the Lok Sabha from the Shimoga, Mysore State in 1962. He was the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 1962 to 1967. School is formally opened with 10 students on its roles, one teacher-cum-Principal and one clerk in october 1961 on Vijay Dashmi Day.
