A few words About Us

Delhi Kannada Sr. Sec. School was established in the year 1961 by the Delhi Kannada Education Society for providing general education to the children from Karnataka and others residing in the NCT of Delhi. The school is recognized by the Directorate of Education and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school imparts education according to the 10 + 2 pattern of Central Board of Secondary Education.

AIM

The objective of the school is to impart quality education to all the students in order to ensure all round development of their mind, body and soul. This would enable them to become morally and ethically upright citizens who would excel in various fields and bring laurels to the Nation.

CLASSES

The school is recognized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi and is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi. The school imparts education according to the 10+2 pattern of CBSE. New session of pre-primary classes has commenced from the session 2011- 12.

ADMISSION

<> Admission to various classes is subject to availability of seats. The Principal reserves the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason.
0 A child below the age of five years as on 31s t March, shall not be eligible for admission to Class-I. Registrations for Class-I are generally open in the month of January/February. Transfer cases will be considered separately.
0. Where a student seeks admission on the basis of a Transfer Certificate granted by a school in any state or Union Territory, other than Delhi, such a transfer certificate should be countersigned by the Education Authority of that District / State concerned.

School Founder

S.V. Krishnamurthy was born on 15 Nov, 1902. He was an Indian Politician belonging to the Indian National Congress. He was a member of the Upper House of the Indian Parliament, the Rajya Sabha from 1952 to 1962. He was also the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha. He was elected to the Lower House of Parliament, the Lok Sabha from the Shimoga, Mysore State in 1962. He was the Deputy Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 1962 to 1967. School is formally opened with 10 students on its roles, one teacher-cum-Principal and one clerk in october 1961 on Vijay Dashmi Day.
